Freshman Seminars
Writing Program faculty teach freshman seminars throughout the year; many teach “advising” freshman seminars in the fall and thus function as their students’ freshman advisers. Freshman seminars are organized thematically. Writing Program seminars introduce students to a specific dimension of writing as a field, such as autobiography or creative non-fiction, while simultaneously helping students improve their own writing abilities.
