Brendan O'Kelly

Brendan O’Kelly teaches first-year writing seminars and Design Thinking and Communication. His teaching is grounded in culturally responsive pedagogy and equitable assessment practices.

 

Prior to joining the faculty of the Cook Family Writing Program, Brendan was a Senior Instructor at the University of Oregon, where he taught scientific and technical writing, first-year writing, and research courses along with a range of interdisciplinary humanities classes.

 

He earned his PhD in English from UCLA with focus on Modern and Contemporary Fiction, Critical Theory, and Film and Media Studies.
