Kristine A. Zlatkovic joined Northwestern University in the fall of 2023 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She is co-teaching courses Writing and Speaking in Business with the Business College and Design Thinking and Communication with the Engineering College.

Kristine earned her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Learning Technologies from the University of Florida. She also holds a Candidate of Science degree in Business/Managerial Economics from Yerevan State University, Armenia, where she taught innovation and management courses for over a decade.

Her diverse professional background includes international experience working on projects with small businesses, technological startups, educational institutions, governments, and international organizations such as the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Open Society Foundations.

Kristine's passion lies in emerging technologies applied in formal and informal learning settings. Her interdisciplinary research interests stem from her previous experiences and encompass business communication, data visualizations, innovative product design, and customized/adaptive technologies. Specifically, she is interested in how individuals process and comprehend information enriched with visual and verbal components, communicated through various mediums and technologies in formal and informal learning environments. Currently, her research focuses on novel approaches for developing adaptive technologies based on individual differences, employing computer vision and machine learning methods.
